The Torean Trekking route is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and captivating landscapes, often referred to as the “Jurassic Park of Rinjani.” Experience lush waterfalls, stunning caves, and unparalleled views as you explore this remarkable trail in North Lombok.
Day 1: Sembalun Village (1,150m) – Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m)
- 7:00 AM: Enjoy breakfast before departing for Sembalun Village, a scenic 40-50 minute drive.
- Registration: Arrive at Rinjani National Park for registration.
- Trek Begins: Start your 7-8 hour trek through the savanna desert with spectacular views.
- POS I (1,300m): Take a short break.
- POS II (1,500m): Enjoy lunch with soft drinks, coffee, tea, and fresh fruit.
- POS III (1,800m): Continue for approximately an hour before climbing several hills to reach Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m), which takes about 3 hours.
- Camp Setup: Set up camp at the crater rim, a beautiful base camp with stunning views of the sea-lake and mountain ranges. Marvel at the idyllic sunset and, on clear nights, the mesmerizing Milky Way.
Day 2: Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m) – Summit (3,726m) – Segara Anak Lake (2,000m)
- 2:00 AM: Wake up to a light breakfast and prepare for your ascent to the summit.
- 3:00 AM: Begin your trek to the summit, starting with a moderate climb followed by easier walking. The final ascent involves a steep climb over loose volcanic scree.
- Summit Views: Celebrate your accomplishment at the summit with panoramic views of Lombok, Segara Anak Lake, Sumbawa Island, and Bali as the sun rises.
- Descent: After descending back to the camp for breakfast and tea/coffee, continue to Segara Anak Lake, which takes about 3 hours.
- Relaxation: Set up camp by the turquoise lake and indulge in a rejuvenating soak in the nearby hot springs, known for their natural healing properties. Enjoy lunch at the lake.
Day 3: Segara Anak Lake (2,000m) – Torean Village (585m)
- Morning at the Lake: After breakfast, enjoy the beautiful morning views at Segara Anak Lake.
- Torean Route Exploration: Start your trek along the Torean route, which showcases stunning landscapes, including:
- Goa Susu (Susu Cave)
- Goa Urip
- Putri Cave with its unique stalagmites.
- Lunch: Enjoy lunch at the rest area at Birisan Nangka.
- Final Descent: Continue your trek down to Torean Village, where your driver will be ready to take you to your next destination.
