Experience the best of Mount Rinjani National Park with this comprehensive 4-day, 3-night trekking adventure to the summit. With an extra day to explore and enjoy the beauty of Segara Anak Lake and its hot springs, this package offers a less hurried trek, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the stunning natural landscapes of Lombok.

Day 1: Senaru Village – Sembalun Village (1,100m) – Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m)

  • Start the day with breakfast at 6:00 AM and prepare for your trekking adventure.
  • Transfer to Sembalun Village (1,100m), a 40-50 minute drive from Senaru. Register at the Rinjani Information Center (RIC) before starting the trek.
  • Begin the hike through open savanna landscapes to POS I (1,300m). Take a short break before continuing to POS II (1,500m), where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch in the middle of the savanna.
  • After lunch, proceed to POS III, Pada Balong (1,800m), where you can rest for a few minutes.
  • The trek continues up several hills until reaching Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m) after 3 hours of hiking. This spot is known as a basecamp for trekkers, providing panoramic views of the lake and mountain range.
  • Overnight camp at Sembalun Crater Rim, where you can witness a stunning sunset and, if the skies are clear, catch a glimpse of the Milky Way.

Day 2: Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m) – Summit (3,726m) – Segara Anak Lake & Hot Spring (2,000m)

  • Wake up at 2:00 AM for a light breakfast and hot drinks.
  • Begin your ascent to the summit at 3:00 AM. The hike to the summit takes around 3 hours and involves a moderate climb followed by a challenging final approach over loose volcanic scree.
  • Reach the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726m) at sunrise, celebrating your achievement with breathtaking panoramic views of Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa, and Segara Anak Lake.
  • Descend back to Sembalun Crater Rim for breakfast, taking approximately 2 hours.
  • After breakfast, continue down to Segara Anak Lake and its hot springs. The steep and slippery trail takes around 2.5 hours.
  • Set up camp by the lake and relax for the second night. Enjoy the serene lake views and soothe your muscles in the hot springs, renowned for their natural healing properties.

Day 3: Segara Anak Lake & Hot Spring (2,000m) – Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m)

  • After lunch, leave Segara Anak Lake and begin the trek up to Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m), a 2.5-hour hike.
  • Senaru Crater Rim offers spectacular views that rival those from the summit. Witness an incredible sunset over Mount Agung in Bali, and watch the smoke rising from the new volcano by the lake.
  • Camp at Senaru Crater Rim for the night, enjoying your last evening on the mountain.

Day 4: Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m) – Senaru Village (601m)

  • Start the final day with a relaxed breakfast and a beautiful sunrise.
  • Descend through the lush tropical forest of Senaru, with chances to spot rare black monkeys along the trail.
  • The descent to Senaru Village takes around 5 hours with breaks for rest and lunch.
  • Arrive at Senaru Village around noon, where a car will be waiting to transfer you to your next destination.
